Java: Hercules or Godzilla
Ed Epp · 2001
This workshop will provide an overview of Java sufficient to cover the first half semester of a beginning course. We will focus on using and defining Java objects, Java's control constructs, using it graphics capabilities, and responding to events. Each topic will incorporate, a hands-on component using graphics to reinforce ideas. It will be assumed that all participants have, experience with a programming language. The principles of object-oriented programming will be introduced, thus, knowledge of an object-oriented language is not required. However, the pace may seem quick for those with little object experience.
