SAFE Bill clears telecommunications subcommittee with amendments

Representative Bob Goodlatte's Security and Freedom through Encryption (SAFE) Act (HR 850) cleared a 16 June mark-up hearing in the Telecommunications Subcommittee with three amendments designed to please both the national security and law enforcement communities and privacy advocates and the computer and communications industry.
