Numerical problems in the application of CACSD program packages
Juričić Dulijana · Computing & Control Engineering Journal · 1993
Some problems identified during the application of several CACSD program packages are discussed in the article. These problems result from the influence of finite word length and finite range arithmetic. In the first part of the article two basic concepts from the numerical analysis—numerical problem conditioning and algorithm stability—are briefly presented. The second part examines in detail some examples where the CACSD approach leads to the obviously wrong results.
