This paper presents a description of the theoretical foundations of a novel method of geoinformatics, the event bush, and discusses its place and role in a newly formulated framework for information modeling of geoenvironments. The event bush addresses a particular yet very wide type of geoenvironment, that of directed alternative changes, which is likely to occur in many information domains. Modeling these environments, this method has reached the state of conceptual model and may become, with further development, one of the first examples of strict formal theory in the earth sciences. The method is exemplified by application to the complex...
