Each protocol has a header that corresponds to a particular layer. They operate a specific layer. At layer 2, which is the data link layer, the data link header has the specific data it has to have for the data link layer. That identifies the data of the service that receives it and determines its behavior, what it’s going to do, and the essential component of all your hacking. Security skills or whatever you’re trying to do out in the industry, it’s critical to understand the structure of all these protocol headers because you’re going to have to read these at the packet level.
