A 2㎾ Tubular Low-Pass Filter Using Coaxial Line Capacitors of Rectangular shape and Air-Core Inductors

A 2㎾ tubular low-pass filter using coaxial line capacitors of rectangular shape and air-core inductor is designed and fabricated for rejecting the V/UHF band harmonic signals. The measured results show insertion loss of less than 0.29㏈, input VSWR of better than 1.21:1 and very wide stop bands up to 2㎓. The power handling test shows no voltage breakdown and performance degradation at the condition of 2㎾ CW input power.
