Designing with Bit Slice Microprocessors
E Tirtaatmadja · 1978
This paper describes the important feature of a bit slice microprocessor system, especially its flexibility. It also discusses the area where large amounts of design effort are required. The two levels of software necessary in a bit slice microprocessor system are discussed, alternative approaches to software design are mentioned. On the hardware side, standard hardware modules are suggested as a means of saving design time and effort.
