Jamil Yusuf Khan · 1995

Mobile Telecommunication is one of the fastest growth area of the telecommunication technology. With the increasing demand for mobile radio systems, in the last two decades its architecture has evolved from a low capacity analog system to a high capacity digital system. However with the ever increasing demand for mobile/wireless telecommunication services; in near future the present system's capacity will reach their limit. This paper will discuss some of the concepts behind the development of a high capacity mobile radio system which could be a part of a future Personal Communication Network (PCN). Personal Communication Network is regarded as the successor of the current generation digital mobile communication networks.
