In this paper, we address the error probability of the amplify-and-forward relaying strategy over independent extended generalized-K fading channels. The analysis of the noise-limited environment is performed. Using an upper bound for the end-to-end signal-to-noise ratio, the novel expression for the average bit error rate is derived for environment in which the relay and destination node are corrupted only by the additive white Gaussian noise. Based on this, the appropriate numerical results are performed in order to present the effects of various fading/shadowing parameters on the error performance of proposed scenario. The achieved simulation results verify the tightness and the accuracy of given analytical derivation.
