HYDROMET - South Australia's Water Data Base
R. F. Marks, AR Atterton · 1989
The HYDROMET concept, as an integrated repository for all South Australia's temporal water data, is presented. The approach adopted to such an ambitious project is presented together with some of the results in broad terms. A relational model for temporal data is introduced as a simple yet powerful concept underlying the management of, what was previously thought to be, disparate data. The broad system design of HYDROMET is presented and discussed. A microcomputer prototype version of that design is also discussed.
