Improvement of fractual image coding base on the different image

In this paper, we propose an enhanced Fractal Image Compression (FIC) approach.In this method, the original image is represented by a provisional image and a difference image, which records the difference between the original and provisional image.With the less number of domain blocks required to do the best match search, the encoding time can be reduced by about 30% with a tolerance loss in the image fidelity.Furthermore.the idea behind this method has great potential to be utilized to improve other enhanced FIe.
