Using operation data to synergistically enhance the skills and morale of train drivers

Our trains are equipped with an onboard device to record the driver's operation. The data obtained from this device are used in various ways to enhance the skills of drivers, motivate them and share the technological know-how among them. These data have also contributed immensely to the prevention of accidents. This paper reports the effect of using the device.
