AUSTPAC - Australian Packet Switching Network

AUSTPAC is an Australian national switched data communications network utilising packet switching techniques. AUSTPAC initially supports asynchronous and packet mode terminals conforming to international CCITT standards. This paper discusses the need far a public switched data network and presents an overview of AUSTPAC including customer interfaces and network structure and performance.
