Singing Voice Separation from Music for Stereo Recordings

Separating singing voice from music accompaniment is very useful in many applications, such as Karaoke equipment. We propose a system to separate singing voice from music accompaniment for stereo recordings. Our system consists of two stages. The first stage in our system consists of singing voice detection and segmentation. The second stage is a selective frequency separation stage. By computer simulation, spectrogram results show separation task successfully.
