In this paper, we propose two approachs to extract temporal coordinate terms based on the temporal relation of terms from search engine query logs, and we also describe its applications. There are some earlier studies to extract related terms. Most of them focused on co-occurring terms, such as terms in the same search query and terms in the same Web page. There are, however, some related terms which are not co-occurred. Our approachs can extract hidden related terms which are not co-occurred from query logs using the temporal relationship between terms. We define temporal coordinate terms as related terms and we propose two approachs to extract temporal coordinate terms: one is aggregative approach, and one is indirect approach. Aggregative approach is extraction approach of temporal coordinate terms by comparing temporal frequency of terms used to search Web. Indirect approach is extraction approach of temporal coordinate terms by comparing temporal frequency of the terms used to refer to the same web page.
