Comparative Measures Of Software Quality And Productivity Across Different Software Development Environments

Robert Cole, D. Woods · WIT transactions on information and communication technologies · 1970

This paper presents preliminary results for comparing software development methods in the context of quality and productivity attributes. A software data collection system over a defined standard software lifecycle has been implemented across company sites. Product, process and resource data have been recorded. Different software development methods were covered by the first set of industrial case studies. The work is part of a long term project to establish quantitative measures to support quality improvement, software assessment and certification.
