Alcohol abuse can be a problem on any college campus. On our campus, wellness is one of our five core developmental areas and is where many see alcohol awareness occurring. However, taking an integrated view student development places responsibility in all areas across campus, including academics. According a publication by Partners in Prevention, one way create a healthier environment on the college campus is to infuse the alcohol topic into the material you teach.[2] To raise alcohol abuse awareness, our Computer Science faculty have created this Case Study in Software Development: Modeling Alcohol Absorption and Elimination from the Human Body.
