A Tutor to Help Students to Build Abstractions in Programming Logics Classes
Mauro Marcelo Mattos · 2004
Educators are constantly seeking new ways to facilitate learning and maintain the attention of their students. This article describes the problem that affects students in the first steps in programming logic classes. The problem is characterized, and a new approach to solving it is presented using expert systems techniques, case-based reasoning and software engineering concepts. An expert system tool prototype was developed to support this effort. This prototype is described and some conclusions are presented.
