Automated detection ofFetal HeartRate(FHR)patterns canpotentially improve intra-partum carebyproviding consistent andreliable measures thatassist health-care professionals intheir assessment ofthestate ofthefetus. We usethecombined tools of signal processing andneural networks todetect theFHRpatterns of baseline, acceleration anddeceleration. Comparison toprevious results reported intheliterature areprovided.
