Analysis of Handoff Algorithm forMultihop

The handoff algorithms basedonabsolute threshold valueandhysteresis level havebeenpreviously developed for conventional cellular networks. Inthispaper, we extendthis handoff algorithm byadjusting thehandoff condition formul- tihop cellular networks. Theabsolute threshold valueisusedto initiate ahandoff procedure inhandoff algorithm. Inthis way, themobile station coulddecide whether touserelay station ornot byadjusting theabsolute threshold value.Thesimulation and analytical results provide thattheeffect oftheabsolute threshold value inmultihop cellular networks.
