Thispaperpresents anongoing project onthe development ofane-Engineering framework proposed byKIMM(Korea Institute ofMachinery andMaterials). Theframework isbasedona numberofadvanced technologies, suchasintelligent software agents, Web Services, andService-Oriented Architecture. Andit aimstoprovide anintegrated design environment to support integrating personnel, design activities and engineering resources during product development process. Especially Service-Oriented Architecture and Web services technologies enabletoutilize and integrate effectively various engineering resources on thegeographically distributed computing environments. Andintelligent agent technologies support cooperation andcoordination mechanisms fortheengineering resources andservices. Inthis paperwedescribe an implementation ofthe framework indetail.
