Based Packet-Loss Recovery Technique for

We consider recovery techniques forpacket-loss in themultimedia streams atbothsender- andreceiver-sides. We investigate recovery techniques as basesofuseless packet transmission avoidance in orderto release bandwidth by avoiding sending unintelligible packets. At times, packet-loss exceeds agiven threshold suchthatrecovery techniques arenot abletocopewithpacket-losses. Therefore, algorithms supplying lowerlatency and higherdegreeofrecovery areneeded. Moreover, faster algorithms forgenerating packets, transmitting, andrecovering fromlosses inthestreams, helpmanaging unintelligible flowforthevarious multimedia streams. Here, we propose theFastForwardAlgorithm (FFA)thatremoves latency inpacketgeneration, ispractical, and isverysimpleto implement. FFA isequally suitable forinteractive andnon- interactive applications. Simulation isusedtoshowthatFFA is superior toother interleaving methods.
