FOR MULTI-BEAM MOBILE SATELLITE COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS

In multi-beam mobile satellite communication systems, there is a problem that prevents efficient use of radio communication channels. In this paper, the scheme to get over this problem is presented on the common control channels. Furthermore, an inter-beam diversity technique involving an individual unique word detection & combining method is proposed and analyzed for return control channels. Adopting of this diversity technique results in a good bit error rate performance and a high throughput performance.
