This document introduces the tool ANTLR, and describes the basic functionality of it. ANTLR is used to generate source code for a parser for a specific language on the basis of the grammar definition of that language. The purpose of this paper is to give the user some fundamental knowledge on ANTLR and as quickly as possible allow the user to make its own ANTLR-grammar.
