Today’s era mobile security has become a big issue in day today life. Most of the people want to use s mart phones for communication, planning and organizing their sc hedule for their private life. These technologies a re causing profound changes in the organization of information system. Android has been changed in mobile market. Now most of the people are using smart phones for their digi tal life ‐ email, social networking, important mess aging, photo and video sharing and etc. Smartphone are very attr active for users as well as attackers. Most of the attackers are using hacking techniques to get private information about their personal life that is directly generated money for the attackers. It is up to the Smartphone operating sys tem to ensure the security of data in device. In la st two years Android became a most popular operating system in t he mobile market. For these mobile device is activa ting over 1.5 million as per day. Android is expected to cros s the 1 billion active device barriers in 2013. It covers 70% percent of the mobile market. In this paper we disc uss about Android operating system security which hbeen developed for mobile phones. Android Application de velopment, layered Approach and details of security information for android also an Android Application Sandbox. Which is used for perform both static and dynamic analysis on android programs .
