Telecommunication operators started toaddress theissues ofwireless/wireline integration since mid1990s. Backthen, theemphases were(1)howtomakewireline voice features such ascall waiting, call forwarding, three waycalling, voice mails available towireless subscriber, (2) howtoaddmobility towireline services viacalling card, prepaid service, andpersonal toll freenumber, and(3)howtomergenetwork infrastructures suchasWireless andWireline Intelligent Networks (WIN,CAMEL,AIN,andIN)to maximize resource sharing.
