Steganography is the process of hiding a secret message in covert channel that is difficult to detect the existence of secret message. Covert channel is a secret communication channel used for transmitting information. Steganography within the source address fields of Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6) packets create a covert channel in which secret messages are passed from one side to another. Cryptography is the conversion of data into a secret code for transmission over a public network. The feature of Steganography over cryptography is that messages which not attract attention to themselves, whereas cryptography protects the contents of a message. Steganography can protect both messages and communicating parties.
