Alisiracf --In this corres@mdence, we extend the range of agplication of a recently proposed technique [l] for the solution of thti open problem regarding the BIB0 Stability of 2-D digital filters in the presence of nonessential singularities of the second kind. This extension is accomplished through the use of a certain z, -domain transformation. An illustrative example is also given.
