Thefollowing paperpresents a fully automatic methodoftheidentification ofafield oriented controlled drive. The examinedsystemconsists of a PermanentMagnet Synchronous MachinePMSM,asinus-filter (LC-filter) andan inverter. Theadvantage oftheutilization ofthefilter insuch systems lies inthedecrease ofthecurrent andtorque ripple, besides itfeatures lowerEMI production. Thevoltage stress on thewindings ofthemachine isalso lower. Despite theincreased orderofthesystem, thenecessary numberofsensors isnot higher thaninanapplication without filter. Theidentification of thesystem allows theutilization ofthepresented methodina widerangeofindustrial applications. I.INTRODUCTION Formanyyears the3-phase inverters havebeenusedin driveapplications. Thecontrol ofsuchinverters iswell knownandthere aremanydifferent methods toproduce proper switching signals forthese electronic devices. The disadvantage ofcommonlyusedcontrol strategies isthe PWM output voltage oftheinverter withhighfrequency components. Thecurrents arenearly sinusoidal butstill with
