Aimingathumanfriendly userinterface using omnidirection camerabyholding itwithfingers, wepropose amethodto track fingers intheimageusing particle filters. Mixture trackingisemployed asaparticle filtering method since itcantrack multiple modesofposterior distribution effectively leading to theability totrack multiple fingers intheimage.We also propose asequential labeling technique forclustering theparticles intheframework ofmixture tracking. Thiseffectively classifies theparticles into eachfinger intheimage. Tracking performance hasbeendemonstrated inreal images ofomnidirection camera.
