3-D Structure Modeling via

Structure modeling is a kind of geometric modeling that emphasize on relative positions of multiple objects. The geometric relations specified between (among) objects form a set of constraints to be salisfied by the structure. In this paper, we study the design of a tool for developing structure modeling system. Constraint logic programming scheme is the framework chosen for the system. In order to determine the structure of a set of objects by resolving geometric relations, the representation scheme based on rigid transformations is used to express geometric relations algebraically. Parameters undetermined in a relation formula may be determined by correlating them with other formulae. This is done automatically by constraint resolution. The structure of a set of objects can be confined or uniquely determined via the automated process.
