Combining themulticarrier (MC) technique withthevertical Belllabslayered space-time coding (V-BLAST), theMC V-BLASTsystem can better meet thedemandof thenext generation broadband mobilemultimediacommunications. This paper proposesa blindchannelestimation algorithm for theMCV-BLASTsystemunderthefrequency-selective fading environment. A rotationinvariance property in the receivedsymbols is constructedby introducing theredundancy inthetransmitsymbols, andthenan ESPRIT-like methodisusedto estimate thechannelstate information (CSI). Thismethod has the advantage thatthe numberof receive antennascan belessthanthatoftransmit ones,so it iseasierto implement inthemobileterminal. Simulation results demonstrate thattheperformance ofthisalgorithm improves significantly. estimation
