Analyticalandexperimental considerations in the constantvoltagetransformerare presented.Theconstantvoltagetransformerconsistsof a linearreactor, a lineartransformer, a capacitor, a triacand a feedbackcircuit.The feedbackcircuitis usedto makethe triacfirepreciselyat any anglefromzero to wf2so as to keep outputvoltageconstant. In thispaper,an analysisof thiscircuitis presented, in whichthe harmoniccurrentsgeneratedin the triacare neglected and theoutputvoltageis assumedto be keptconstant. The experimental resultsagreeweltwiththetheoretical valuein respectof the loadcharacteristic, the voltagecharacteristic, the power factorand thejumping phenomenon.
