IEEE802.16 standardlll wasdeveloped forthe delivery ofwireless broadband traffic including voiceover IP(VoIP) andvideo oraudiostreaming, aswellaslow-data-rate applications, suchaswebsurfing, andbursttraffic overthe Internet. Inordertosupport suchwiderangeoftraffic ona network, thenetworkmustbecapable ofsatisfying various Quality ofservice(QoS) requirements. Inthis paper, weconsider multi threshold guardchannel scheme(MTGC) formultimedia quality ofservice(QoS) support inwireless broadband network. A service modelconsisting offourservice classes withdifferent handoff-dropping requirements ispresented. Appropriate call-admission control andresource reservation schemesare developed toallocate resource adaptively totheIPTVservice classes withastringent delay bound. delivered overIPbased networks managedtoprovide therequired level ofQoS/QoE, security, interactivity andreliability. 121
