The paper presents design, simulation and im- plementation of FPGA based current controller for single phase bridge. Current controller 1s based on hysteresis control priocipIe, which is fast, robust and simple for implementation. Considering such an inverter as discretc-event driven system, a more systematic approach is introduced, which enables the use of hysteresis control in mare complex inverters. The paper emphasizes B new matrix based approach to the modeling of the discrete event systems. Modeling of the structure of discrete event-driven system is based on matrix representation of Petri Nets. The discrete dynamics of such a system is described by transferring the system between its specific discrete states. This is denoted ushg combination of algebraic and logic equations. To confirm the proposed approach, simulation and er- perimeatnl results are presented. The proposed algoritbm was Implemented on FPGA, which is considered as an alternaiive to the DSP based implementation.
