A Comparative Study of Two Fwxy Control Systems Design
S.D. Katebi, Masoud Makrehchi · 1994
Two fuzzy controller design techniques are discussed in this paper. One is the so called standard or the on-line method in which the fizzy rules are triggered based on Fuzzy Associative MemoryO. The FAM are in fact the organized form of fuzzy rules which may be obtained hm the experience of an expert operator or by the method of rule generation based on leaning from examples, as suggested in this paper. The other method is called the off-line method which is based on the calculation of Fuey Relation Matrices(FRM). Calculation of FRMs are based on the ah’s composition rule of inference. Each fuzzy input to the umtroller is basically composed with all the outputs to produce the corresponding FRM for that partmh rule. This prdure is repeated for every input. Then an OR operator is perfomed to obtain a final FRM. Both FLC design procedures are compared and contrasted in several aspects. Results of extensive simulation studies are presented to demo-te the performance of fuzzy controller design techniques.
