Linear phasefilter shares thesuperiority ofhigh stability andeasiness forrealization. However, computational complexity increases asthetransition bandturnssharp. Frequency-response masking(FRM)technique solves this problem byproducing sharpfilters withlowcomplexity. This isanefficient waytodesign intermediate frequency filters. In eachfilter module, someimprovements aremadeforFRM to reduce thecomputational complexity infurther extent. Some examples areapplied toillustrate ourapproach's superiority.
