Andfortraffic engineering overMPLS,thekeyistoselect suitable paths tobalance thenetwork loadtooptimize network resource utilization andtraffic performance. Andfromnetwork carriers' point ofview, suchoptimization should bebasedon their individual networks, service requirements aswellastheir ownadministrative policies. Inthis paper, wepresent amethod toprovide thecapability tocontrol traffic engineering sothatthe carriers candefine their own strategies foroptimizations and apply themtopathselection forbothQoSrouting anddynamic loadbalancing.
