Recently dataembedding overimages havedrawn tremendous interest, usingeither lossy orlossless techniques. Although lossy techniques canallow large hiding capacity, hostimagecannot berecovered with highfidelity. Theaimofthis workistoincrease the embedding capacity whilemaintaining thevisual quality ofthestegoimage.Thenewtechnique is namedquasi-lossless because theimagehistogram hasbeenchanged withthecondition ofsatisfying high PSNRvalue (>35dB).Thequasi-lossless technique isbased ontheimagehistogram whereleast repeated colors aretreated asunusedcolors toincrease the embedding capacity. Theproposed technique reported anembedding capacity that reached upto60%.
