A. Abstract— this paper presents the review of different psychoacoustic models and wavelets techniques used in the area of digital audio compression. This paper includes a brief technical summary of the psychoacoustic models and wavelets for audio compression. Furthermore, this paper outlines recent advancements in the general area of audio quality assessment since the publication of the ITU standard.
