Steganography is the art of concealing secret information. It is a method of communication that hides the existence of the communication from a third party. The employment of steganographic techniques depends on various demands, which will be derived and considered in this research. Cryptography scrambles secret information so that it cannot be understood, but enemy is allowed to detect, intercept and modify the information while steganography hides the existence of the secret information inside other information. Steganography is also referred as Transmission Security (TranSec). This research will explore the activities involved and will review recent development in the steganography techniques in order to produce new/improved data hiding technique.
