Thenext-generation high dataratewireless communication systems are expected to offera completely new waystoaccess information andservices. Theneedofhigher datatransfer rateandbandwidth, alongwiththe requirement for low-cost, high efficiency systemimplementation, has ledto an explosion innew technology development forintegrated circuitapproaches inRF/microwave area,RFreceiver^ transmitter, datastorage andeven powersupply. A totalsolution forhigh systemintegration ofvarious components isthetrend, the3D system-on-package concept isconsidered as one ofthefuturesolutions. Torealizesuchas complex concept, nanotechnology couldplaya significant role for continuing innovation inmobiledevices, butit facesa lot challenges. Thispresentation willtouchon the concepts ofpossible impacts ofnanotechnology on communication evolution.
