Wideband SONAR Detection Using Autoregressive in Reverberation Models.

In this paper we investigate the problems caused in ac- tive Sonar detection by the enstence of the TeVeTbeTatiOn phenomenon. We extend a suboptimal detector already ensting in the literature, to the case where the reverberation results from the propagation of lin- ear FM's. This suboptimd detector consists firstly in estimating a prewhitener filter on the reverberation data, secondly in whitening the received signal with at, and finally in making a filter matched to the received signal distorted by the prewhitener. At last, we present com- parisons between the performances of the classical detector currently used and this new detector processing.
