Thispaperproposes andanalyzes theperformance of streaming video transmission overIEEE802.11 WLAN.A simple butrobust bandwidth allocation methodisproposed toenable dynamic update oftransmission schedule ontheAP(Access Point). Withacontinuous trace ofstatus ofeachvideo streamchannel, the proposed schemecanefficiently reclaim andreallocate thenetwork bandwidth, leading tominimizing thewasteful transmission onthe badchannel, without jeopardizing thetimely transmission ofother active streams.
