In thepresent workanartificial neuralnetwork (ANN)basedspeedcontroller andspeedestimator ofPMSM (Permanent MagnetSynchronous Motor)driveisdesigned andsimulated using SIMULINKunderMATLAB andresults arecompared withconventional PIcontroller andobserver baseddrive ofPMSM.Theperformance ofANN basedsystem isevaluated forvarious disturbances tosubstantiate the proposed control andestimation ofthespeed.
