A Novel Digital Watermarking Scheme Based on leA
Chunxing Wang, Guanlan Liu · 2011
In this paper, a novel digital image watermark scheme based on leA (independent component analysis) is proposed. The DWT (discrete wavelet transform) is performed to each independent feature component of the original image, and the scrambling watermark is embedded into the medium frequency component. The experimental results indicate that the watermark has a good performance to survive some common attacks as well as some fierce attacks. According to the current study of digital watennark, it can be found that the feature extraction is the key of the digital watennarking technology. At present, the feature extraction methods which are more suitable for the watennark problems have been studied wildly. ICA (Independent component analysis) (I) is a new blind source separation technique. That is, in the case that the source signal and transmission channel parameters are unknown, it can recover or extract the source signals in real time by observing the signal according to the statistical properties of the input source signal. It is similar to the digital watennark embedding or extracting process and the attack process to the watennark. The possible solutions to present problems in the watennarking embedding can be found by applying the ICA technology into the feature extraction method. In recent years, the ICA technology has become a hot research field of signal processing because of the similarities of these two. Thanks to the effective separation, ICA has been wildly applied in the fields of the voice processing, biomedical signal processing, image processing, electronic communications and other fields (21. Usually, the effect of noise is always ignored in the current theory algorithm of ICA, and this paper is based on the same premise.
