DOCUMENT RELEVANCE RANKING FOR TIME SENSITIVE QUERIES- A SURVEY

The World Wide Web is a dynamic information network with content changing in varying amount at varying frequencies. Time plays a major roe in searching over a large collection of data; many que ries could be answered under a temporal pattern. Retrieval of temporal que ries can be improved by considering the time dimension implicitly or explic itly. From the voluminous data stored in the web there will be number of rela ted documents for a single topic. To perform search over a large collection ra nking with document similarity is not sufficient. Hence considering the publication time of the document along with content similarity will find th e exact target document.
