Amitesh Maheshwari, Rahul Ajmera, Vineet Hingorani · 2012
Blogs are the most important and healthier source of information in today’s world of Internet. People write and read blogs sometimes to be updated with the news and sometimes as a matter of interest. In this work, we aim to suggest some blog-posts which a user is most likely to like(and not read). We present a system, RecoB, that tackles two mainly problems: a). Mining a lot of data in an efficient reality based manner, and b). The sparsity of likes on the posts as compared to the total number of posts and the users in the so called “Blogosphere”[Wika]. We select some of the important factors based on which, generally the users show their liking trend. A rigorous analysis has been done on these factors for all the users in our dataset. We compare the results of RecoB with the previous work and are able to crack the top 6 results in the competition.
