Space- Time-Coded Protocol for Eight-User Cooperative Communications

In this paper, we invest igate a Quasi-Orthogonal Space-Time Block Coded (QO-STBC) protocol with relay select ion in the eight-user cooperat ive communicat ion environment. The QO-STBC coded protocol could provide a full rate and a full divers ity to cooperat ive communicat ions. Computer simulat ion results show that Q O-STBC coded protocol yields 3-dB lower probability of error compared with a conventional decode- and-forward protocol.
