ResidueNumber System(RNS)has been recognized as a robustmethodtoperformcomputations ina parallel fashion. RNSoperations provide uswiththecapability of solving a precise or fuzzysystemusing a lowresolution multi- modulisystem. Despite oftheadvantages ofRNS operations in parallel addition, subtraction, andmultiplication, itsuffers from some drawbackssuchas RNS to binaryconversion, sign detection, paritydetection, overflowdetection, scaling and division 111121. Severaltechniques havebeendeveloped to alleviate thesedrawbacks. Forinstance MRC (MixedRadix Conversion) 121, New CRT II (Chinese ResidueTheoremH) 13)141, andCorefunction 111)51 aresomewell-known techniques usedforRNS tobinary conversion. Ourstudy isoriented upon corefunction. Corefunction hasa non-linear characteristic that causesan ambiguity inRNS tobinary conversion aswellassign detection algorithms. Ourworkisa discussion aboutthenon- linear characteristic ofthecorefunction anditseffects on these algorithms. Alsowe willpoint tosome solutions toalleviate or resolve anyambiguity duetothis non-linearity.
